Our little
corner of the world is
located in north central Pennsylvania, just 40 miles south of the New York State border and about 226 miles north of Philadelphia. The Tioga County
seat is located in Wellsboro. |

Geographically, Tioga County is the
second largest county in Pennsylvania, covering 1,100 square miles.The
population is 42,000 people. Over 82% of the county is rural, and miles
of country roads and mountainous terrain separate the towns and villages
we serve.
Tioga County residents have access to a variety of resources, including a unique area-wide health system, a community college and a state university. Our manufacturing base and service industries are growing. Tourism is rapidly becoming a major source of revenue for the area. In a recent study compiled by editors of the national magazine Sports Afield, Wellsboro was cited as one of the 50 best outdoor towns in the nation. |
