dmission requirements vary for our residential programs. Children may be court ordered to a particular program or be referred from another agency. Each youth's  history, including information about past placement and treatment, legal status and education must be provided.

 

    Secure Detention:
A 12-bed temporary, maximum-security program for adjudicated and alleged delinquent youth 10-21 years old who are awaiting court disposition or placement. Comprehensive diagnostic evaluation is available.

 

    Residential Treatment:
A14-bed, co-ed program which provides therapeutic intervention in a structured environment for court ordered delinquent or dependent youth 12-18 years old. An individual treatment plan is developed for each participant, and a behavioral approach is used to encourage positive changes.

   Children’s Community Residential
   Rehabilitation Program (CRR):
An eight-bed, co-ed group home for dependent children ages 10 -14. The program provides 24-hour supervision by trained staff in a home-like, nurturing atmosphere. CRR staff help the youth to develop educational, social, coping and recreational skills to prepare for placement in a less restrictive setting.

 

    Group Home:
A six-bed, round-the-clock program for youth ages 14-18 who have been adjudicated delinquent or dependent. The program emphasizes life skills and residents work together to maintain the home.

 

    Bridge Housing:

Provides temporary housing for families in need, until they can provide for themselves. The program offers shelter for victims of domestic violence, those with little or no income or who are transient and individuals with drug or alcohol related problems.
   Independent Living Program:
A program to help youth ages 16-18 learn skills needed to become independent. Training focuses on topics such as social skills, health care, money management, homemaking, community awareness and employment training.

 

   Foster Placement Development
   & Respite Services:
The recruitment and supervision of foster homes and short-term respite care providers.

 

   SPARK (Specialized Program
   for At-Risk Kids):
An after school and weekend program designed to help youth ages 12-18 learn anger management and socialization skills.
